Last July, at the height of summer, the entire team at VA 361 Productions left the world of events, cameras, video mixers, and audio tables behind for a few days to move to a very special environment: Toledo.
For three days, we celebrated our Summer Summit in this historic city, combining strategic planning activities with moments of fun and strengthening personal bonds.
What we experienced at this Summer Summit
Team Building Activities
The core of this internal event was the team-building activities, designed to break out of the routine and discover new ways for different team members to collaborate. Some of the most relevant were:
1. Team cooking classes
Nothing brings people together like cooking together. Divided into small teams, we took on the challenge of preparing different dishes under the guidance of professional chefs.
This type of activity, although recreational, It simulates audiovisual production workflows very well: each step depends on the previous one, and the final result is a collective effort.
2. Treasure hunt
The treasure hunt took us to different parts of the location where we were, solving puzzles, overcoming physical challenges, and collaborating between teams.
The dynamic was an excellent metaphor for the challenges in production: Each project requires adaptation, mental agility, and teamwork.
3. Live role-playing game
One of the most surprising activities was a live action role play, set in a fictional story with characters, conflicts, and hidden objectives.
The roles assigned months before the event varied between leaders, strategists, facilitators, and problem solvers. This activity was key to learning about other facets of our colleagues and discovering hidden talents, which are very useful in audiovisual production.
Strategic Sessions and Internal Training
The Summer Summit wasn't just fun. We took advantage of the relaxed environment to do internal strategy meetings, review what you have learned over the past year and set your next goals.
Why does this matter to our customers and partners?
Many may ask: why is it important for the VA 361 Productions team to hold a Summer Summit?
The answer is simple: A cohesive team that is constantly learning results in better technical service, greater proactivity, and more creative solutions..
The VA 361 Productions Summer Summit It has been much more than a company retreat. It has been an investment in human capital, team culture, and operational excellence.
In an industry where technical pressure, tight deadlines, and coordination are key, Having a solid team makes all the difference. And that is built not only on set or at the event, but also outside of it.
